Andrea has over 20 years’ experience working within the Early Years as both a Nursery Manager and Reception Class teacher. Andrea oversees our Early Years settings, providing support and curriculum development, quality of provision and sustainability.

I have over twenty years’ experience in childcare, working overseas as a nanny, running my own ‘outstanding’ childminding business and as a long-standing member of the Wellesley Park team. My whole working life has revolved around working with children and I love getting messy with paints, glitter, glue & scissors whilst helping the children develop their fine motor skills.

I came into childcare as I have a passion for child development, how children learn and how best to support them. Initially my interest was for personal reasons and to better support my own parenting, this then inspired me to pursue a career within the early years sector. I love supporting children with special educational needs & English as an additional language working closely with their families in order to best support the child and enable them to progress in their development.

I really enjoy interacting with the children in everyday activities especially when its craft orientated or going on lovely strolls through our beautiful grounds within the school looking at all the amazing nature around us. I also passionate about helping the children learn their phonics through a structured yet playful way.

I have been working in the Preschool many years and feel just as passionate and dedicated as ever! I love meeting new families and building a relationship with both the children and their parents. I enjoy all aspects of our day to day activities, and watching the children try new things and achieve something for the first time is so rewarding.
